We Attended Myanmar-China Investment and Trade Network Summit 2026 Shanghai
On June 18, Myanmar-China Investment and Trade Network Summit 2026 Shanghai, hosted by Myanmar-China Investment and Trade Promotion Association (MCITP), grandly opened in Shanghai. Bai Ning, Party Secretary and Director of Wuhan Building Material Industry Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Su Linqiang, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of the Institute, attended the summit upon invitation and formally signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Industrial Cooperation (MOU) with Shwe Taung Cement Co., Ltd., laying a solid foundation for long-term in-depth cooperation between the two parties.

Centering on cement building materials, green new energy, new low-carbon building materials and other sectors, the summit serves as a platform for industrial investment matchmaking between China and Myanmar. As a professional service enterprise integrating engineering consultation, design, technological research and development, equipment manufacturing and green low-carbon transformation in China’s building materials industry, Wuhan Building Material Industry Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. has long been engaged in overseas markets in Southeast Asia and continuously participated in infrastructure supporting construction of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor under the Belt and Road Initiative. Its attendance at this summit aims to align with local industrial demands in Myanmar and export mature building materials technologies and integrated solutions.
During the summit, Wuhan Building Material Industry Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. held in-depth discussions with Shwe Taung Cement Co., Ltd., exchanging views extensively. Combined with Myanmar’s infrastructure plans and market realities, the two sides sorted out multiple feasible cooperation directions and reached comprehensive consensus on complementary resources, joint technology development and market sharing.

Bai Ning, Party Secretary and Director of Wuhan Building Material Industry Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., stated during exchanges that the signing of this MOU marks a new starting point for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides. The institute will give full play to its strengths in technology, talent and engineering to steadily advance the implementation of cooperation items stipulated in the memorandum. Han, person-in-charge of Shwe Taung Cement Co., Ltd., spoke highly of the professional technical capabilities of Wuhan Building Material Industry Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. He pointed out that Myanmar’s local building materials industry is in urgent need of advanced technological empowerment. He expressed expectations to establish a long-term and stable cooperation mechanism based on this signing, raise local building materials production capacity and product quality with mature Chinese technologies, and jointly tap the broad prospects of cross-border building materials cooperation between Myanmar and China.
